Works well and easy to use.Charged up quickly and has a battery indicator on the side of it. The goats love it! Not really, but we really like it for keeping the goats off us when feeding. Combined with our livestock dogs we don't have much trouble feeding anymore. Many times it is just my wife who is dealing with the goats so this is a great equalizer. Once they understand what it does there isn't a lot of repeat lessons, but it is on the 4 Wheeler just in case!Durable, lightweight and decent price for the quality.Would recommend.

I’m so happy I bought this. In the past my dogs have been attacked by loose dogs. But with this thing, I feel like I can really keep my dog safe.

It’s hard to rate this fairly without actually testing it, which I haven’t had a chance to do yet. I got it because I have a problem with javelina in my yard and they’ve gotten way too comfy there and I worry for my dog’s safety. Of course, I got this and they seem to have gone on vacation so when they reappear and if I use it I’ll update this.In the meantime, the build quality is decent. It’s obviously not top tier quality but for this sort of thing it should be plenty good enough. It’s all plastic and pretty lightweight. It doesn’t make any noise when operated so not only do you know for sure if it’s working it also doesn’t have the benefit of deterring animals with the crackling noise you see on some other prods.The other thing is the voltage being only 8.4v. Most prods are much higher voltage so it’s hard to say if this will be sufficient or not. Ultimately it’s the amperage it puts out that will make the biggest difference and maybe this thing has a monster capacitor in it that explains the low voltage. It’s hard to say without real life testing so it’s more a point of interest than a criticism at this point.I’ll update this review once I use it but for now I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt.

This is easy to use and gets the job done. The batteries last a long time. It is a good weight so your arms aren’t going to get tired carrying it.

Worked great but during first use the battery level indicator completely quit working. Not a huge deal but definitely undesirable.
