This is a very sturdy plastic bucket. The lid is a great feature the way it screws on and off. It does a great job of sealing tight when you screw it down. Very air tight. This would work well with paper food containers that don't close up tightly after they've been opened. This company sells a lot of plastic products you could use in your shop or your business. It was easy to set up and I purchased it to have easy access to the bucket. I use it to store bulk bird food. Easily holds 20 lb bag of food.

I am storing birdseed in it and it has been perfect to keep the moth larve out & keep it fresh. Very sturdy & excellent seal lid.

I did have some trouble getting the rim on but after watching the youtube instructional videos I saw that it does take a lot of force to get the rim in place. I sat on my bucket to achieve this. Once on, I love the screw on lid, very secure!

Sealing ring so far refuses to be attached to the bucket rim. We have tried pushing it down with all the force we could muster, to sitting on it. So far it's a no-go. Frustrating in the extreme. The design is great, but nothing like this should be this hard to install. I see that some have suggested using a rubber mallet (I don't have one available), to heating the ring with hot water or a hair dryer. Haven't tried those things yet, but it just should not be that convoluted a thing to do, IMO.

Our local recycling center requires compost to be separated from trash. We empty kitchen scraps into this bucket and keep it in our garage until the next visit to the recycling center. The screw-on lid prevents spills en route! If the lid were easier to seat properly in order to screw it on I would give it five stars.
