Cut old spindle off ,tapped new spindle in good fit ,welded in place ,looks like good quality steel ,has grease hole drill for grease to go to inside bearing first

Other than the false base hole information this seems to be a very solid spindle and works fairly well with my for my application after some axle add on modifications the base hole is more like an 1 inch and quarter I hope this helps someone
