1) USB cable can be connected to any power adapter or device with a USB port for an electrical connection only and not as a means of transferring photos from the viewer to a device.
2) Care and maintenance: when storing for an extended length of time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment. Clean the magnifying lens with a soft dry cotton cloth or lens cleaning paper.

The slide viewer worked well, but sometimes the slides didn't fall through and you had to pull them out. All in all, it was a good choice for viewing your slides.

This is a great slide viewer for the price. We were able to look at slides from 60’s annd 70’s and take pictures of them with my phone. This was a great purchase!

I bought this to look through a box of old negatives, to sort them and put them in sleeves. This viewer is easy to use, but only magnifies the negative 3x, and doesn't reverse the color, so faces and scenes are hard to recognize. Also negatives are hard to feed through the slot they need to go into. Flat perfect ones work ok, but if they are arched (many old ones are) or whatever, they won't slide into the slot on the far side so they can be fed through. The worst thing is that I have this impression it's a design problem. No reason why the slots couldn't have been shaped so they tapered and kind of guided the negatives in, but they weren't. Anyway, this thing is easier to use than just holding the negatives up to a window because the magnification is a help, and this works well with slides, but it's not a perfect solution for me.

My older slides are too big. Using it to view negatives that have any curve to them is such a pain. I like that it enlarges the image but overall there's no way I can use this to go through all my negatives.

This device is nice and compact, and I like being able to use it attached to my computer with the USB port. I also like the feature of being able to look at negatives. The only issue I have is that it is sometimes hard to eject the slides. All in all, it is a good purchase for the price.

Like many of my age who've passed through photography in the days before digital, I've amassed a collection of colour slides. One day I'll get round to digitalising them but for now this is a simple solution for a quick viewing session.
