Set different PIN code if control multiple ceiling fans
NOTE: If you control multiple ceiling fans in the house, please check the PIN code settings are different between these, or it may let transmitter next door or your neibourhood's remote activates this ceiling fan in your other rooms. This may cause the fan turning on strangely while you are not at home.
HOW TO USE
- This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.
- Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).
- Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) .
- Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.
- There are 16 different frequencies for the Harbor Breeze'S fans, so you would have to play with the combinations. Here are the frequency list:(0 is down and 1 is up) 0000, 0001, 0010, 0100, 0110, 0101, 0011, 0111, 1111, 1110, 1101, 1011, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1000

The description for this item shows that it has four dip switches as well as a LEARN button so that it can replace either style of KUJCE9603 remote. I am needing to replace this style of remote with a LEARN button for a Harbor Breeze Mazon fan. I purchased this remote based on the positive reviews, but it will not pair with my fan. The dip switches worked fine for a different fan in my house, so if you are looking for a replacement for a four dip switch remote, this would likely work fine. But if you are looking to replace a remote with a LEARN button, use caution because that feature does not seem to work.

Mine did not come with batteries. Not sure if it was suppose to but the batteries are not expensive. It worked great without having to set anything differently. The instructions say to change settings inside remote to match old remote but we did it have it. Put batteries in and it worked without doing anything. Great product!

I can't believe I waited so long to purchase this remote. I figured it wouldn't work b/c I bought my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan in 2010. My original remote that came with the fan probably broke 3-4 yrs ago. My grandson wore it out! At that time HB was no longer carrying replacement remotes for my model. After years of missing my remote and being tired of getting up in the middle of the night to turn the fan on I decided to try your remote. She-Bang!!!!! I had my remote working in a matter of minutes!!! All you have to do is follow the directions. Put the battery in, program the numbers from your old remote in and turn it on!!!!! Thank You!

It does what it's supposed to, but the fit on the battery is loose. I wedged a small bit of cardboard in to hold the battery in place.

I gave this 3 stars because it simply did not work, despite the dip switch being correctly set to the same settings as the original remote and programmed according to the directions. I did not return it because I ended up getting another Harbor Breeze remote from a neighbor who was replacing a fan and had a remote with no battery cover. Used the cover from this with that and all is well.
