We have an unlimited supply of firewood, so I pretty much keep a fire burning as long as the temp is below 40....sometimes even 50. I had a smaller 24 inch iron grate burned up after a few years. This 36" grate (actually 35.5, but I'm not complaining) is the G.O.A.T..unfortunately, I am advised to keep the hot ash away from touching the bottom of the grate, or it will burn up. Well, that's just not going to happen, so I guess I'll be buying another in a few years. The welds look okay...we'll see!

I don't like reviews, often to negative, but in this case I will say nothing but the good.The product is well built and made with heavy/sturdy materials. I use my fireplace a lot and in the past have had other break down, bend and melt. I understand it is early, but i cannot foresee it happening to this one.
