I replaced a failed original trigger (not a goedrum) on a metal ecymbal a few months ago. I play live about once weekly. Overall, I like the triggers -- just a simple piezo wired to a jack. However two of the three I bought have failed. On the first, the jack broke where the metal barrel attached to the plastic. On the second, the piezo came unattached from the metal housing. This was easily fixed by regluing (I use a double sided adhesive disc). The problem is that the black adhesive goedrum uses becomes brittle, and the vibration breaks the bond. Same for the wires attached to the piezo. Happy to road test if they want to send me more, but I'm to the point of just building triggers myself.
