I needed one to replace a broken clip on the RV so I just replaced them both. They are very heavy duty way more than what was on it and larger worked fine with the chains still. Worth it for sure but i'd measure if I needed them again.

I have been looking for a solution for my emergency cables for my tow rig. All of the online solutions for cables didn't have the end fittings I needed, using these "do it your self" hooks I was able to get short 12" cables and then add these clevis hooks to them in a simple fashion. Excelling workmanship and they have shown no ware or corrosion from my use this summer and fall.

I didn't pay much attention to the specs on these chain hooks when I ordered them, but they were quite a bit larger than the standard ones I replaced. Regardless, I figure it is better to have too much than not enough. These are beefy, for sure. The chain will break before these hooks fail!
