The new spring cartridge, picture 1, is the new spring cartridge. The clocking is wrong. See the relationship between the two screws and the lever. Notice they are at a much steeper angle compared to the old spring cartridge in picture 2. The screws are almost parallel to the lever with the old cartridge.. The new spring cartridge caused the lever to be in a down position that was only 1/4" above the floor and caused the water valve to stay open. Bad quality control.

Good value for the money. Easy to install. Didn’t have to disconnect the water hoses, move it to the side and replace spring kit.
