My wife's car was giving a fault for the charging system, I checked the alternator and it wasn't working. I just so happened to remove the battery and I found this piece was ever so slightly broken - I took it off and found it wasn't connected in several places on its circuit board - this is a very thick and hard to get to circuit board so there's no repairing it with conventional tools. I bought this instead of an alternator and it works great - this has to be on the ground of the battery for the charging system to function.

My battery was having trouble for a couple months and this part was easy to install and fit perfectly. The quality of the part was strong and durable. It will definitely last the life of the battery.

Disappointed in the overall result of the part, seemed like a pretty solid replacement part and didn’t seem to have any problems during the unboxing, but the connector never clicked in all the way when I tried to connect it, I was thinking maybe it didn’t have to click but the original part did, so I decided to crank it on anyways and see if the the check charging system light would be gone but it never changed. I know I spliced the wires correctly so the only problem I had was that the connector not going in all the way to secure the connection. In my last attempt to push it in I held down the piece to unlatch the connection and it just breaks off so now the whole pigtail connector is no good. Either it wasn’t as good quality part as some of these reviews says it is or I just got unlucky with a bad part.
