Chose this particular filing cabinet as it seemed the best made and handled legal files well. It’s well designed and was well packaged with protective packing. I was very impressed that it was so well packed there were no dent or dings. Assembled quickly and immediately functional. Love it.

Great file cabinet. High quality materials, drawers lock easily, cabinet rolls easily (wheel locks don't hold it from moving, but that is minor next to quality of cabinet over-all). Letter-size hanging folders and files fit perfectly across the width of the bottom drawer. The drawers fit well and slide easily. I would give it 5 stars, but the instructions for building the drawers need improving. At first, I had slight issue with drawers closing properly, but once I double checked and made adjustments to the way the drawers are put together, the drawers fit well and slide easily.

It’s a decent under table file cabinet, but be aware that it comes flat pack so it will takes assembly. It’s metal so the assembly is a little different than the IKEA type flat pack but it was straight forward. It does save a lot to assemble it yourself and with the flat pack shipping.

Putting it together - is about same difficulty level as assembling an ikea product.You need to pay attention. Once you have it figured out it’s easy. Great price.Sturdy, wheel under drawer prevents cabinet from tipping over when drawer is open. Wheels roll smoothly, looks good. No negatives so far.

What a big expensive mistake I made!Not easy to assemble, not sturdy, not legal size across, but front to back, entire drawer must be opened to pull a file.I should have look locally, for a better file and better pricing.I feel stupid to have purchased this after tried to GET HELP, but no help over the weekend and no one responded to my issue.Not good service or easy read instructions!Grrrrrrr.

[Original Review]This unit, as of 8/14/2024 was listed at $85 + tax. I needed to replace one of my under-desk plastic drawer caddies which I've had for more than 10 years. I ordered on 8/14 and received 8/18. I expected it to be a few more days before arriving.Packaging: ExcellentThis thing was covered in styrofoam and padded wrap. Any crevice they could find to shove it in, it was there. Definitely a positive thing. Not one ding or dent in any of the metal. However, there is a mess of foam pieces all over the dining room where I put it together. Included with the order was a screw driver ( did not use it), and a small wrench to tighten the wheels on the bottom.Assembly: FairThe instructions were setup reasonably well. It took roughly 45-50 minutes for a 50 year old mechanically inclined guy to assemble. I was very surprised that the drawers did not come assembled for the price paid. The biggest annoyance with assembly was which way to set the sides with the drawer mounts. Some of the parts weren't labeled and I had to figure out the orientation as the images weren't very clear. Then I was surprised that the drawers used folded metal tabs to hold them together. I think I counted 30 screws total used. I wasn't impressed with the design... took off 1 star.Build quality: FairAs others have said, this is not a heavy duty, high quality steel drawer set. It's about as light-weight as they come. Heck, you fold the drawers into an upright position to form the outer shell. The steel drawer material is thin, but it does the job. This is not a tool cart you would use in your garage, you're putting pens, staplers, and files in this thing. Sometimes the number of screws to attach was incorrectly shown on the included booklet. Not impressed with the value and rigidity considering the price paid. I took off 1 star here too.Results: FairIt rolls nicely! The drawers open smooth, something I'm not used to. This is small improvement from my original $18 Sterilite brand plastic drawers from 2012. But, it doesn't blow me away. I've included some images after the build. It fits nicely under my desk. Only time will tell how this is going to hold up. I was hoping to find more places to add screws to insure it was solid and last the next 20 years.Would I buy this again? No. That's because I wanted something much more durable, that could handle more weight. I am glad I only ordered 1 to check and see if I liked it. I plan to keep this as the light-duty drawer set for small items I use infrequently. We will see how it holds up. and I'll update my review if anything changes. Not only that, they are offering a $10 coupon on top of the discount. That makes the total with sales tax at $53. For this price including shipping, I think this is a worthy buy. The $90 retail price I paid nearly 7 months ago is way too much. I got what I "needed" but not exactly what I wanted.I would be very interested in a 3 drawer setup where all the drawers were of equal size. The shallow drawers hold only so many items, and I have larger items I wish to store in them. If one were created similar to this design, with stronger drawers for a heavier load, I would be quite interested. A quick scan of Amazon's current listings only show cheap, particle board (fake wood) style 3 drawer units. Nobody seems to offer them in metalDaily Use:It's been 7 months into owning this unit. I like that the drawers roll smooth. The drawers do have a slight bump or "hold" when opening or closing. This keeps them in place when closed and gives it a more solid feel. The file cabinet drawer is also reasonably stout. I am happy to have the wheel on the front drawer as I've loaded it with many of our monthly/yearly files. The unit has not tipped, but I haven't tried to open more than one drawer at a time.The steel construction and design are appealing. It looks nice under the desk.Many of the items I stow in here get shuffled around. I solved that by finding dollar store baskets and sorting the items I use most for different projects or uses. I've added a few more pics below with this highlighted.My previous review stands. Though I will say I would increase my rating from 3 stars to 3.5 stars. Obviously amazon won't let me do that.

Was overwhelmed at first when I saw the flat pack that was delivered, but the cabinet fit together well and was a very reasonable little project to assemble. I like the simple, sleek look of this cabinet.
