This fabric is woven material. I believe it will do the job as a weed barrier, but note that it is woven. The material allows pet urine, rain and other liquids to seep through the material, but provides enough barrier to keep out the weeds. This is different than the solid barriers that hold out rain and any urine from the dogs. This barrier will be easier to keep the smell down.

I use weed barrier for all sorts of nursery and gardening applications, and it was time to order myself another supply. I have lots of nursery containers from small to very large, which I use until they cannot possibly be used any longer. In order to deal with the inevitable cracks and any plastic broken off the old pots, I long ago began using fiberglass window screen or weed barrier cloth cut to size to line the bottom or sides of the pot so the potting media was not lost during frequent watering. I especially needed to use a liner even with new pots if I was potting up cactus or cycads in a sandy mix that would tend run right out the drainage holes at the bottom. I found that weed barrier cloth was far less expensive for this task, unless I just happened to have old window screen. I also use the barrier cloth to line flats for rooting plants because the flats usually have a lot of drainage holes and I wanted to keep all of the rooting mix inside the flat. This application with growing containers can use a lot of fabric, and I do reuse the fabric later if it is still in good condition.Another container that I line is wire hanging baskets already lined with molded coconut fiber or cut coco sheets. The coconut fiber lasts a long time, but if spots break down over time then the potting media will leak out of the opening with watering. Some of these wire basket plants are potted up carefully for spending many long years in these baskets. Having to take them out to re-do the liner is a very time-consuming job, so inside the coco liner I learned to line again with barrier fabric. This completely solved the problem and the wire baskets still looked very natural because only the coco liner was visible.I am getting ready to set up a new raised garden next year with many livestock troughs because we are tired of dealing with gophers ruining our in-ground plants even when planted in chickenwire baskets. I will definitely be using barrier cloth to line these six foot troughs because they must be able to drain well throughout. There will be a substantial layer of gravel placed in the bottoms and over the gravel will be a layer of carefully placed barrier cloth. If we do decide to put any plants in-ground I can then see the need for using the barrier fabric in a more typical way on top of the soil. I have also used barrier fabric to line the dirt floor of a small greenhouse because it is no fun chasing weeds under the growing benches. So I will take other reviewer's opinions at face value in rating this barrier cloth highly. The way in which I have used products like this over years I have never had a problem with any brand I have purchased. If I find otherwise I can return here and edit my review.

This is a good product and thicker than the similarly priced ones at major retailers. I'm using it in various spots around the yard in beds. It has been out all winter, so spring and summer will be the true test, but so far, so good!

In the gardening world, one of the persistent battles we face is the relentless invasion of weeds. These pesky plants can quickly overwhelm our carefully nurtured garden beds, depriving our cherished flowers and vegetables of essential nutrients and space to thrive. In the quest to protect my garden from this green menace, I’ve often turned to weed barrier fabrics, seeking effective solutions. Recently, I decided to try the Domusensus Landscape Fabric, a heavy-duty, woven geotextile designed to provide robust weed control and support various landscaping needs.Having experimented with different weed barriers in the past, I was curious about how this product would perform, especially considering its unique construction. Unlike traditional felt-like materials that tend to allow roots to penetrate over time, this landscape fabric features a tight-knit PVC mesh design that reminded me of durable erosion control materials. This sturdy composition promises to serve as a formidable defense against invasive weeds, preventing them from establishing roots and taking over my garden beds.Getting started with the Domusensus fabric was surprisingly easy. The rolls come in 50-foot folded lengths that unfold effortlessly, much like craft paper. I found it straightforward to cut the fabric to the required size using my trusty garden shears, making the process feel manageable even for a novice gardener like me. Securing the fabric was a breeze, thanks to the included garden staples that easily penetrated the material and held it firmly in place. Once laid down, the fabric blended seamlessly into my garden, especially once covered with a layer of mulch for a tidy, polished appearance. One of the most impressive attributes of this landscape cloth is its durability. Unlike cheaper options that may break down under the sun or during inclement weather, this product is built to last. After several weeks in the garden, it has shown no signs of wear or tear, continuing to effectively block weeds while maintaining its structure. This durability gives me confidence that I won't have to replace it after just one season, making it a wise investment for long-term gardening success. As someone who has recently put a lot of time into clearing out winter debris and preparing the soil for new plantings, I found myself considering the cost versus benefits of using a premium weed barrier. It’s easy to feel tempted to cut corners in gardening, especially when there are so many expenses involved. However, after investing time and energy into my garden, I realized that using a high-quality weed barrier could be the difference between success and failure. The relatively small cost of this fabric is far outweighed by the potential rewards of a weed-free garden and healthier plants.Despite its initial price tag, I believe the Domusensus Landscape Fabric offers a reliable solution for gardeners looking to combat weed growth while enhancing the overall aesthetics of their outdoor spaces. Its sturdy construction, user-friendly application, and excellent weed control capabilities make it a valuable addition to any gardening toolkit. I have noticed that my plants are starting to flourish with the extra protection, and I’m excited to see how well they will do throughout the growing season.Overall, I rate this landscape fabric a solid four stars out of five. Its durability and effectiveness make it a worthy investment for both novice and experienced gardeners alike. While the upfront cost might give some pause, the long-term benefits it offers in terms of weed suppression and garden health justify the expense. For anyone serious about maintaining their garden's beauty and productivity, the Domusensus Landscape Fabric is a fantastic choice that stands up to the rigors of outdoor use.In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a weed barrier that delivers on its promises, look no further. The Domusensus Landscape Fabric has made my gardening efforts more manageable and effective, allowing me to focus on nurturing my plants rather than constantly battling unwanted weeds. For those ready to invest in a product that enhances their gardening experience, this fabric is well worth considering.
