I use these for dog leashes and they are very strong and completely overkill. The locking mechanism works great!

Couple things I've noticed on others vs these: These are completely smooth vs rough edges bordering on sharp with many others I've seen. That is very important if you're attaching it to anything cloth - be it your belt loop or a cloth loop on say an earbud case that can slowly be cut off by a sharp edge. Also, when they aren't sturdy like these and break, you can lose stuff. I like to have my Raycons clipped to the outside of my bag for easy access. I set my bag down and noticed the clip was broken at the hinge, and I was ready to lose them. I replaced the broken clip with one of these. The way this clip is made is great. It's secure, but can be opened one handed - even with arthritis! Someone standing behind me would have a lot of trouble unclipping them without getting my attention. Even with my arthritis, I was able to unclip my inhaler fast. So that's the functional. The colors are so vibrant without being gaudy. I got gold and pink. I do have to order a couple more.

I was using quick clip carabiners for my keys until I lost a small ring of keys. Got the keys replaced and replaced the quick clip with this twist lock carabiner and haven't lost any keys yet. I'm not a climber and these are an overkill for a keyring, but I can say the build quality is very nice!

But very sturdy and working well in my new pink EDC setup. Just have limited hand mobility and they’re a bit tricky for me to open, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Perfect size and weight for a keyring. Not too big, but big enough you can find it. I really love the locking feature...no more having the ring separate from my keys because the screw-style "lock" came undone while in my pocket or purse. Very sturdy. Would be great for attaching things to a beach bag or backpack.

I had a dog leash with a clip that would get undone easily. Luckily it only ever happened while we in puppy training classes - but we were worried it could happen on a walk. Our puppy is very hyper and it's tough to get a clip onto his harness as a result. The 'twist lock' of this makes it a lot easier, and there's no worry of it unclipping. Our dog won't get above 20lbs, so the build auality wasn't that much of a concern - but it does feel pretty sturdy either way.
