Well at least this was the correct thread size - there seems to be quite a few of these polishing/sanding backing pads where people expect or specify the wrong thread size for their polisher. I ordered and received a M6 3" backing pad I have that going for me. The item listing states 15k RPM along with the bag it arrived in however the item label says max RPM is 12,000 RPM. I don't think my pneumatic polisher will spin 15k RPM so it's no big deal but would have been nice to know if I had one that did (spin that fast).

The fastening shaft was not accurately described and is the smaller of the two most common sizes. You will need the conversion attachment for most Buffers to fit the mount attachment.
