Needed to replace the faded and cracked stripes on my 13 year old Mini Cooper S. Dealer wanted crazy money for the Mini branded decals. I looked around and could find them from third parties, but all of the reviews were so-so. Decided to use this vinyl to make my own stripes and worst case, the overall investment isn't too much. After some trial and error and adjusting my technique, they came out great! The vinyl has a back layer and then a clear layer on top to it's easy to work with and not scratch them. Thickness was perfect for a standard sharp razor blade cutting on cardboard. It's been about 6 months now and no issues. Obviously, the vinyl has lots of potential uses, but anything like stripes, decals, graphics, lettering, this product would work well for. I ordered white so I can't comment on how well other colors look or are true to color. White is bright and clean. Exactly what you would expect from a 3M product.

Just be careful not to heat up too much to separate the clear coat layer from the main layer

Recently replaced dented tailgate on my truck. It was way easier/cheaper to find a new sheet metal skin for the tailgate, instead of repairing the existing tailgate. The only downside was that the replacement sheet metal needed to either be painted or wrapped to match truck. As a DIY project, wrapping turned out to be the better choice (as opposed to priming/painting). I don't have the tools for applying automotive paint but, even if I did, wrapping is way less work, less messy, and probably cheaper.I was a little hesitant since I had never wrapped anything, but I bought some extra material and I watched a few YouTube tutorials and it turned out great on the first attempt (see attached picture). I did not even need the extra material.

in this review I’m going to talk about this vinyl brand vs more expensive stuff from the view point of a self taught novice vinyl wrapper and some tips and insight I’ve learned.Backstory: So I’ve done two small motorcycles and 2 helmets and from a beginner stand point if you want to wrap something for the first time I say do it and don’t be scared to. You’ll probably mess up or get close to but that’s all right it’s very easily fixable with a small amount of heat using a heat gun.Material: I’ve wrapped my first bike and helmet using a more expensive wrap from metro restyling and that was very forgiving and had little to absolutely no bubbles or winkles. I bought this wrap on amazon for my second motorcycle and helmet wrap and it wasn’t too bad it wasn’t as stretchy as the metro one and there is some small winkles and It’s pretty prone to peel on the edges after awhile but overall it is good wrap for the money!! I would recommend metro first or if you wanna save a few bucks I’d recommend this second!Tips: I can not stress this enough though, BUY AN ACTUAL HEAT GUN it's extremely worth it because other people have tried using hairdryers on high heat so I tried it myself one time and it takes a painfully long amount of time to heat the vinyl. it is by far worth spending the extra money to get a proper heat gun just do NOT heat up the vinyl too much it doesn’t need much heat to stretch or retract etc. also be very mindful of stretching your vinyl because it can stretch a little too much and it looks thin and faded and be extra mindful on your edges especially if you do multiple vinyls on one piece using knifeless tape because it’s very thick vinyl so if you dont layer it right you'll see the seam.

First of all, I rarely write reviews, good or bad. So it should tell you something when I go out of my way to leave a negative review on a particular product.Secondly, this is a sample size, its a small square of the larger sample so you can look before you buy the whole 50$ roll. And THANK GOD I bought a cheap sample before I bought the real deal. The sample came bent right down the middle. One side was jammed, like someone tried to tear it rather than cut it and therefor it was all bunched up. The backing paper was falling off and it was sticking to inside of the envelope. Also, the color was not even close to matching my car. I realize it's tough to color match but cmon, its freaking white. How hard can it be. Lastly, as i was applying the vinyl, there were little marks in the vinyl itself from the credit card I was using to apply, like little lines were I pushed it and stopped. This may of gone away with time and heat but NO WAY am I buying the larger version for my car now!

I wrapped the front of a heavily scratched and dinged up fridge. Looks good as new! It was my first time working with vinyl wrap. Decent stretch without heat, air bubbles where easy to work out.

I ordered this thinking its 3m film, to my surprise when it arrived it was nothing close. It's just a piece of very soft useless nylon. Please be warned don't fall victim of this scam
