The 3M 9100 overhead projector is easily portable and ready to go once you remove it from the box--there is nothing to be assembled. The post assembly that holds the projection head aloft is hinged against the body of the unit, and a loosening turn of a knob swings it into place.
The body is well designed and made of a sufficiently durable grade and weight of plastic to make this model a good choice for heavy usage. Simple to use, one switch turns the projector on and off, and a separate control panel allows you to change the lamp to high or low intensity. The lamp bulb is easily changed, and the power cord can be neatly wrapped around twin brackets at the bottom front.
Once the post with the projection head at its top is retracted and secured, a carrying handle on one side of the body affords sound and stable portability. The instruction manual (divided into English, French, and Spanish sections) is simple and straightforward. It is primarily useful for its easy troubleshooting should any problems arise, such things as a faulty bulb or projecting onto a screen that is not perpendicular to the projected image. This 3M model is ideal for classrooms, business meetings, and large presentations of any sort.

Very unhappy when I received my overhead projector the Fresnel lens was cracked I half and the focusing lens in the head was jammed inside the head. None of this was written in the description of the product. I will never order anything from this company again. I didn't no they just wanted to steal my money.

Great buy for the price. Does exactly what I was needing it to do. Secondary bulb got busted in shipping, but item was well packed. Carriers get a little rough sometimes.

The product arrived on time and well packaged. Plus, it had an operable light bulb which I wasn't expecting. My only dissatisfaction is that it is not operable at this time because the lens is warped. If I want the transparency to be visible, I have to hover it about two inches above the glass. This makes the projector unusable until I replace the lens. :-(

I found it in good used condition. But the lamp lens is very dusty. I not sure how to clean it. Can you help?

It came in good condition and worked well. The projector fit well with my needs. I only hope to put it to fuller use as a teaching aid for my book.

On May 12, 2010, I ordered a used 3M Model 9100 overhead projector from Oneil Imports in Carrollton, Tx. - I was so excited and pleased when it was actually delivered On May 17, 2010. We took it up to the church (for which it was ordered), to try it out - and when we plugged it in - and turned it on - were delighted to see it turn on and showed a large lighted square on the wall for our overheads. Then withing seconds of turning it on, it quit running. We tried several times to get it to stay running. It would not. - I believe this to be a defective piece of equipment - I would like a total refund of cost and shipping.This company is not rated by the BBB. And to the BBB's knowledge this business had closed their doors - not so. I would not recommend ordering anything from this business.I tried calling this company - two different phone numbers - both had been disconnected.

I may have not read the fine print concerning as is conditions but the viewing glass was cracked, one bulb was missing, and the other onw blown.
