Using this to correct and polish clear coat on car. It doesn't provide consistent results compared to other products like Meguires. Paint correction requires the use of 3M Trizac sanding discs that are very costly. These sanding discs are mostly sold by Amazon vendors that use deceptive or confusing units of measure that provide fewer discs than you expect. Just check the feedback for vendors selling less thatn a full pack.Using Trizac discs, which I found on eBay for a reasonable price, does not reduce the time required since you will sand with 1000, 1500/2000, 3000, 5000 and even 8000 grit discs. Expect to spend many hours bringing the paint to the stage where it is ready to be polished. Sanding with conventional discs up to 2000 grit and then using a heavy cut compound is way faster.The pads and matching polish are significantly more costly than products from their competition and offer no real advanteges over those other products. The purple pads and polish offer nothing special in terms of results.After using this it is back to other products purchased on Amazon from Rupe's and Meguires that get the job done faster and cheaper.
