This sensor has a very small footprint and is extremely accurate up to 2m. If I need more I will be purchasing from the same seller. Thanks!!

I had hoped the response to varying distance would be a little faster with time of flight technology. I wanted a music instrument that rapidly responded to distance from sensor, it is just a little sluggish. This is due to the chip limitations though, not the module vendor so I gave it 4 stars.

Documentation is very weak. Module functions - but - that is all without sharing more about it's functions.

One sensor, right out of the bag, had an exposed die and did not work. The next one would communicate and initialize, but would give random readings past 8cm. The last sensor would not communicate at all. And Amazon wants me to drive 30 miles to a UPS a store or pay $8 to return a $13 product.

After spending half a day looking through the Adafruit GitHub libraries, I came to the realization that this is not a VL53L0X but a VL53L1X. From what I gather there is a slight difference in how it performs the initial communication and the address positions? Bit confused on that part, Ill leave that for my betters to figure out. The sensor I received has a longer range.Advice for new users that are having issues choose the correct header file when writing the code for this sensor!

Accurate in close proximity but one of the sensors just cuts off after 6in.
