Fermenting Any Food You Like
When an airlock bubbles, it simply means that the air pressure inside the bucket or carboy is sufficiently high to push up the little column of water and relieve the pressure.
- If it fails to bubble, all it means is that the pressure within the fermenter isn’t high enough to make it do so. This can easily happen if the lid isn’t fully closed, or if the seal isn’t perfect.

- For those of you not very familiar with Airlocks, this is a device that is needed when brewing things like beer, wine, meads, etc.
- You just fill with 1/2 or 1/3 water, pop on the cap, and plug it into your fermentation vessel.
- The airlock will allow the gas from the fermentation to escape while keep air and contaminants out.
- An airlock just *feels* more professional, and is reusable, and is far less susceptible to clogging.
- High transparency airlock help you keep and eye on how your fermentation is progressing better than the traditional plastic 'cylinder shaped' air locks.

This worked great for wine fermentation. It is sturdy and easy to wash. My wine turned out great and no bugs got into it. Some of these are very fragile but this one is not. I recommend this for wine making/fermentation. Good value for the money.

Drilled a 1/2" hole in a 3-gallon bucket lid from big box store, added water to prescribed line, and placed over bucket with pepper mash. Fermented for 30 days, with bubbles escaping as process continued. For the price, can't be beat.

No instructions and poor shipping. My box was open. Like others have said, the grommets are extremely tight. The hole that needs to be drilled into the lid is a half inch due to the size of the airlocks neck when inserted into grommet. I’m not sure the they are the right size for this airlock. The airlock itself seems to be ok. Just hard plastic parts. If you drill a steel lid the edges will cut the grommet easily, I ruined my first one trying to figure out what size hole. Probably would have been better off with a plastic lid or a burping lid. Live and learn.

I wish there would have been a fill line but that is just my preference, they work exactly as they should. These come in at a great value I highly recommend this product!

Product came earlier than expected and was undamaged along its time being shipped. This is a great carboy rubber stopper kit for the price. 10/10
