This is the second one of these we have purchased. Once our grandson saw it and wanted it, we gave it away and bought this replacement. Now two of our three families have one and enjoy it daily. Simple to use, price was good, delivery was on time. Thank you!

We are amazed by this lamp! Shaped like an over-sized light bulb with a tiny but highly functional remote included. Product description clearly states "Battery NOT included" so future raters need not deduct for this. We couldn't stop laughing as we watched how the over-engineered remote could control the disco bulb to change speed and brightness as well as select one, two or all three colors of your choice, plus set it to interact with music if desired. Throws exceptionally bright spinning patterns of colored light across a large area; we have a 20' x 50' common area that was well lit to every corner by intensely bright colored spots of light. Will use it to light up the dance floor area of our party. I may get 2 more for an even more interesting light show, not that 1 isn't impressive by itself! Also, arrived VERY fast from China, shipped within hours of order and arrived in 9 days (not one month as shown in delivery tracking info.) Costing under $20 total for all this was a terrific find! Update: At slow speeds the faceted lens rubs the bulb housing which makes it get briefly stuck until the motor pushes it past the sticking point. I was concerned the motor might burn out from repetitive strain plus it made a jerky spinning light effect. If you have this issue, here's how i quickly fixed it-- carefully remove the small lens screw, sand the lens rim with fine sandpaper (a nail file might also work), dust off all filings and reinstall the lens. I scuffed the lens a bit (didnt affect the display) so you may want to use tape for protection before sanding. Works perfectly! Didn't take off a star for this since it's still an amazing deal for a really bright disco bulb with remote control.

Disclaimer: it is mot recommended for use outside.That being said, I did put it in the light socket of my porch ceiling, so it is exposed to so cold temps. The coldest so far has been 19⁰ at night. I've had it on every night for the past two weeks I've had it. Its still working great and love the added light animation it brings to our front porch. Better than just using a green or red bulb for Christmas.

I bought this product on a whim to amuse my niece, so I wasn't really expecting much. This disco light, however, has worked out really well! The light is very responsive to the remote and so long as the socket isn't turned off (instead using the remote to turn the light off), it will remember the last settings you used. The ability to change the motor speed as well as the brightness are much appreciated, since the default speed (4th of the six settings) was slightly too fast for our comfort (3rd worked best for us). The only thing I'd find fault with, and it's really a minor thing, is that the product is advertised as responding to music...and while technically it does, it doesn't do it the way you think; the product responds to sharp differences in the average amount of sound in the room with a quick blink of the light. It doesn't seem capable of synchronizing with music; in fact, playing music won't produce any effect unless the music has any places where a momentary sharp increase in volume can be heard, you can also get the same effect by making a loud clap (but sustained clapping won't produce subsequent effects). But since I don't really care about this effect, it's a minor quibble on my part, but may be useful for anyone hoping for music synchronization.

I bought this for a wedding reception after party, and was very pleased with the brightness and the mirror ball effect. It was on for a few hours during the wedding day during setup, then turned off until the after party later that night. At some point the plastic lens fell off (see pic) despite it only being in use for several hours. My theory is that the spinning lens unscrewed the screw holding it on, but in that case i would consider it a defective item, and hope they are not all like that.

I bought this for my kiddo for Christmas and it is really cool. I love that it has a remote so he can turn this off when he wants. He starts out each bedtime routine with it on and turns it off when he has had enough. My husband wants one for his room. Ha, guess I know what I will be getting for a stocking stuff for next year.

Just arrived from the post a few min ago. Got it up and running in a few minutes. So easy to use. My 4 and 6 year old love it. Just plug it in and start playing with the remote to change the settings.I am sure it will bring hours of fun and dance parties.Fun features:- change the rotation speed- change the light intensity- since it has RGB LEDs, you can select each colour combination. There is also an auto colour change mode. It switches every 3 seconds.- There is a music mode which flashes the LEDs off momentarily to the music intensity. This seems work in any colour mode, even auto change mode.

I put this outside in a dry spot for Xmas and due to the cold it takes a few minutes for the motor to speed up the rotating bulb . It is quite bright , several speeds , and a remote for speed and colour . I never used the music function . I don't think you can go wrong for the price and will use it once again next year . These are very nice if you have the right lighting around your house .

Great little light to turn any room into a disco inferno !!! Works exactly as described. Kids love it for karaoke and dance party's.

Note: Two important updates at the bottom.This year we were running late in our exterior Christmas decorating duties. I came across this rotating disco bulb when I started searching Amazon for easier decorating options. I ordered two and they arrived quickly with Prime shipping.My husband was able to screw them into our regular outdoor light sockets in moments since the bulb is only a bit larger than a normal bulb. We had great fun using the remote to set the light programs and speeds for each bulb, and the colours were perfect for Christmas. They operated silently and looked great.I was concerned that they might not last through the month of December, as we experienced such a wide range of weather conditions: rain, snow, and cold temperatures down to -18C. However, they worked nearly flawlessly 24 hours a day, every day, from December 8 to December 31 (when we removed them). The only time one stopped rotating was when we had a very humid day followed by freezing, so I suspect that may have caused challenges inside the motor. However, it resumed rotating about 36 hours later on its own, and kept going strong until the end.It should be noted that we operated them from vertical light sockets under our eaves, so they were fairly well-protected from direct contact with rain or snow. I’m not sure how long they would last if they were installed horizontally on an exterior wall, for example.We were happy with this purchase and would buy them again.Update November 2020: One of our lights (we bought two) has now stopped turning. So it lasted 2 full seasons and a couple weeks this year. I estimate that it ran approximately 1500 hours in total. Good but not great. I’m taking one star off my review as a result.We’re a bit disappointed but these lights did cost 50-60% less than the brand name lights in our city, and I’m not convinced those would have lasted any longer. They looked very similar to this one, just with different branding.From an environmental waste perspective, it’s really unfortunate, though. However, we’ll move the non-rotating light inside our home to give it a second life since it still projects nice, bright colours.Update January 2021: Another star taken off, unfortunately. We bought two more of these lights and ended up dealing with a peculiar problem. For the first month we used them, the speeds did not work at all like the previous ones we owned. We could only choose from two speeds: hyper-fast, and choppy-slow that would eventually stop turning completely!We kept them because we knew they’d end up in a landfill if we returned them, and we used them on hyper-fast. (I bet our neighbours LOVED us.) Strangely enough, though, after about a month of running them on hyper-fast, the slow setting finally started working on both. It was almost as though they needed to be broken in. So strange.I’m not sure if I would recommend these anymore. I’ll leave it up to potential buyers to decide if they are willing to put up with the various downsides.

Pretty awsome for the price. The remote might conflict with other LED strips or similar devices using infrared remote. Great number of configurations, the rotation can be adjusted as well.
