I have used 2 of these boxes on tour for the last 4 months and they have been just perfect. Robust as hell. when the Gig's done and I'm tossing them into a case. Not babying them at all. kicked, dropped, thrown.Its a thick metal shell and I am not at all worried about them being damaged. Will be purchasing more.

Update: The male to female adapter I ordered separately arrived and I cannot get a dmx signal from any of the ports on the unit Will contact seller to see if they can provide some troubleshooting and will update review and star rating to reflect how they handle this issue. Could not find anywhere on this page on how to contact the seller so I searched out lighting professionals. Ordered this product for dmx lighting. Found out from the pros that this product does not act as a splitter for DMX. This product will not work the way I thought it would for me. I don't feel this listing is clear at all. I s hould point out you would need two of these (the pair) in order for it to function as a breakout. The area where they marked 'lights' they show even show a pic of camera, makes me think this company is untrustworthy.Good solid metal constructed unit. Please keep in mind what this is used for. I couldn't use this the way I expected to for my DMX. In other words, I cannot run an ethernet cable from my router (that my dmx unit is connected to for my ipad wirelessly) out to this unit. What I need to buy is an DMX/ethernet adapter to then run my ethernet cable into this unit and bypass my router and just use with macbook to my dmx ethernet dmx controller. No biggies. It's a $10 part. I'm excited at the prospect of having less hassle connecting all my dmx cables at my next gig.
