I’d read a lot of reviews on lateral files. Either they are relatively cheap with complicated assembly or very expensive but pre-built. I took a gamble on this item, and have been pleasantly surprised. Came very well package, but it is a very heavy box. I assembled it without by myself, taking care to understand the instructions.Took me about 2hrs from unpacking to finish. One key to the assembly is when the drawers are placed on the rails, you do have to push down on each side to click/lock them in place. Final product is excellent, robust and much better than I expected. One nice benefit is that if you’re storing letter files, you can arrange them left to right, and use the full width of the drawer with no gaps. This allows for many more files and no loss of space than arranging them front to back. Of course its early days and we will see how this holds up with use, but for now, very happy.

I am disappointed with this purchase. The quality of the product itself is very cheap, and the drawer is not aligned. I am not a satisfied, and I really get my money back.

It’s the worst cabinet ever! Was easy enough to assemble but very poor quality and not properly working. Paine on bacon!

Some reviewers noted this was hard to assemble. I used only the tools provided. I'm an avg homeowner, not a carepenter and it took me less than an hour. This cabinet is very sturdy, much bettern than the last 2 pressboard file cabs I had.

First, this is a nice Cabinet that appears to be rather solid when compared to many competitors. However....the engineers that designed to assembly angles of attack needs to have his/her head examined. Be prepared for some busted knuckles along sharp steel edges as you tighten screws. That said...I'd buy it again if I needed another but maybe I'd wear some gloves 🤣
