I use a lot of 4" pots in my gardening. They are just the right size to "pot up" my peppers, tomatoes, etc. I have only had the pots, but never a tray to hold them- that's a problem: 1. They don't stand up well in a basic rectangular tray and 2. They slide around when you have to move them, it is basically a disaster waiting to happen!Problem solved with these super sturdy and we designed trays for 4" round pots. I'll call out the features here:* Very Strong and Sturdy - The pots are well supported in the tray - they won't slide or tip. And when you pick up the tray to carry them from under the lights to outside to harden off your plants or to the garden to plant - they don't flex - it's a very secure feeling.* Easy Watering - I like to water from below whenever possible. These trays are perfectly designed for doing that. Each of the 12 "cells" that hold the pots are connected! You can water into any one of them and the water will flow to all of the others to water those pots! There are also 4 what I'll call "overflow" drains in the corners of the tray that will release water if you should put too much water into the tray. This prevents accidentally saturating your seedlings. I attached 2 photos of the trays - one from the top one from the bottom so that you can see where the pots fit in to the tray and see the water channels. It's also also shown really well in the third picture in the Amazon listing.This is in the listing, but you get 5 trays and 60 pots. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, these will last a really long time. This is not a "buy and throw away". Just wash up the pots and the trays when you are done for the season and put them away, and you'll be all set for the coming year. I reuse all of my plastic seed and plant propagation supplies and get many years of use out of them. This set is especially tough and I would expect this to last for a minimum of 10 years or so if taken care of.I'm super happy that I got this set - and easy 5 stars if you want to use 4" pots for your gardening.

fits everything in nice and snugly, with no slipping moving pots, sure you can't fit as much in the try as other no-slotted trays but for secure travel from inside to the greenhouse and raised bed, this is great. For me safety over the number of pots I can carry is better, also the pots last longer as they are not crushed into each other, also the trays are very strong. I got 12 of them now. Down downside is there is a screen piece they have that fits the bottom, they did not provide the right number of soil screens for the bottom of pots, not really needed but each pack was exactly 4 screens short. it's just to prevent some soil from falling out of drain holes at the bottom of the pot, but totally not even needed.

Great quality and I like the mesh screens that cover the holes in the bottoms of the pots (screens are reusable).

This a great kit for the price, better than I expected, but could be improved in some areas ...Pros:- Thick, robust base trays with notches for easy watering.- Great sized pots, with plenty of drainage holes- Excellent size, fits perfectly on small greenhouse shelves- Humidity domes do their job well!Cons:- I would prefer the domes were a little sturdier, they're pretty thin ... but that's my only reason for knocking off the half star ...Overall though, this is a fantastic kit for thr price and I'm enjoying using it to get my cold crops started, and will look forward to using it more and more as the weather warms up!
