About why the water leakage occurs?
Please put the new filter under the tap water to flush for 5 minutes to remove any carbon.
About installation:
1:The installation of the interface needs to be corresponding, if not tightened, the monitor still shows a red light will cause water leakage.
2:Tighten the filter, the display light is green after installation, it means the installation has been completed.
Please install correctly to avoid unnecessary trouble.

The only difference in this filter from the name brand is the price!I live in the desert & our water tastes horrible. Often, the city hard water has so much chlorine added to it that I can even smell it when I turn the tap on.Having the faucet filter takes away the hard water taste & odor, so I can keep hydrated.Good bargain!

I have the same filtration system as some of the pictures that said theirs worked. Mine did not. It fit about half-way down. I resorted to a rubberband to hold it down so water does not spew everywhere until I can buy "Brita" filters. Maybe it is because I have the faux stainless and some that worked had white? No idea, but I would not take the chance and buy these.
