Solid and fairly heavy, and look good. Have enough room to contain the head on the beer. We keep them in the freezer to have frosty cold mugs anytime. Very satisfied!

I've only used them once so far, but I am very satisfied.1] They appear extremely sturdy - a manly mug.2] They hold at least 14 ounces (as advertised).3] They will hold up to the heat generated by a coffee maker warmer.As an aside, I purchased these to replace double walled glass mugs, (which were easily broken due to its extremely thin gauge glass & inability to withstand heat).

These steins are not too bulk or heavy. They are perfect for a normal-sized beer or any beverage you want to keep cold. They do well in the dishwasher and fit in the cabinet with other glassware. I recommend for someone looking for something lightweight.

The wall of the glass is 1/8". It's thicker than a typical iced tea glass. My Pyrex glass measuring cups are 3/16" thick for comparison. My coffee cups which are those plain white cylindrical light weight mugs are the exact same thickness at 1/8". The mug has 1/2" of solid glass at the bottom and a 3/4" thick glass handle. It is a good solid mug but in my opinion should not be advertised as a "Heavy Mug".

While the glass steins were slightly heavier than I anticipated, they are very sturdy, extra larger (which I like), and actually do keep my drinks colder than any other glass stein I had before. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

These tankards seemed smaller than normal size steins. Although thick glass and fairly nice design was disappointed in the size- not sure if they even hold a full beer
