These off-brand lantern mantles do not "season" well. With propane lanterns, you are supposed to install it on the lantern, and then burn them to a web of ash before lighting a lantern. They don't burn as well as others. I'll stick with a name brand next time.

Last mantle disintegrated. This was a noce replacement. Thought it was too big when i installed but when you first light the lantern, it shrinks to fit

These didn't work in my propane not my dual fuel northstar lanterns. I couldn't get the mantle to fully brighten. Replaced with coleman brand and they work perfect. Something with the size of these made them not shrink up. I needed them in a hurry and should've just waited. Lesson learned
