Thought these looked bigger in the photos shown so a little disappointed that they only hold about a cup of water which drains pretty quickly during the hot days. Have to refill about every other day which to me kind of defeats the purpose of using a drip watering item for keeping soil moist. Plants still need to be watered regularly with or without. They do add a decorative touch to the planters.

I was shattered (pun intended) to go out on the first 25 degree day of the winter and find two of the four completely shattered, and the other two are suddenly peeling all their paint so I assume they’re structurally compromised as well. In Texas, we don’t get that low of temps generally, and granted, I didn’t remember or I would’ve pulled them, but it was disappointing to see half of my cute little hedgehogs ruined by a relatively light freeze. Oh well.They were fine this summer, although I had to use all four on one medium sized planter to even extend watering needs by one day. So this could get expensive for you if you did have more than one or two pots to keep alive - mind you, it gets 100+ (°F) every day in the summer here, and barely any rain at all. So if you had a less severe drought situation, maybe your experience might be different. Overall may still buy again next year and just take better care of them, or might try to find some that are better made. They were cute while they lasted.

These are the cutest things ever. Be sure you want the soil for the plant you want to remain moist (not soggy) as that is what you are going to get. I used two on my largest plant. Such a great buy and I will be buying more. Now I feel comfortable going out of town.

These stakes are cute but really did not work for me. Placed 2 spikes in a potted plant and still needed to water every day.
