When I opened them it seemed like granules or something were spilling out of the filter which had me worried. But I soaked them to get the air bubbles out until they quit floating, cleaned my water drop brita, and filled it up. I’ll just say it tastes like bottled water to me, and I haven’t seen anything floating in the water. We will just see how long they last and see.

The white filters are very aesthetically pleasing to the eye as they sit in the Water Drop container and are very functional as they do their job for three months just like the first one I received did, filtering the faucet water exactly for three months, so they do exactly what the product manufacture says they will do – that’s for sure!

I've been using a pitcher compatible with these filters for several years, and really love it. My only concern is that when I put one of these into it, the water passes through very quickly. So, this style of pitcher and filter I cand definitely recommend, and my concern is solely with whether the manufacturer is putting out quality filters or cutting corners. I'm not able to do a water quality test, but it's something I want to do if I can get the proper equipment. If I can, I'll come back and update the review to share the results.

We have Waterdrop’s Alkaline Chubby 10-Cup Large Water Filter Pitcher that originally included a filter for raising the pH value of the water run through it, and we still use it for that purpose. However, my wife works at a retail establishment where the only available drinking water is municipal, from a tap. We prefer to be careful about the water we drink, and because the filters for Waterdrop’s pitcher are so convenient to switch out, I ordered the three pack of Canavy filters for her to use at work. Since she doesn’t work every day, for now we have one pitcher and will just install the preferred filter for the use at hand; the alkaline filter for home use, then a Canavy filter when she takes the pitcher to work with her. The Waterdrop filters are blue. the Canavys white.In any case, we did a simple comparison test; we tasted the municipal water directly from our tap, then sampled the same water run through the Canavy filter. It was obvious that the Canavy filtered water had a crisper, fresher taste than the unfiltered water. As for an improvement in smell, I can’t say, since our municipal water doesn’t really have any.When my wife takes the pitcher to work, everyone there (it’s a small store, so that may be just one other person) drinks the Canavy filtered water. In that use case scenario, the Canavy filters do represent a cost savings over the Waterdrop filters. However, they are not the same quality.Waterdrop filters are NSF/ANSI 42 & 372 certified; they meet standards that can be referenced on the NSF website. In other words, a user can see exactly what the Waterdrop filter will remove and what it won’t. Canavy states that their filters are rigorously third-party tested, however, those results aren’t shared. By way of the NSF/ANSI certifications, Waterdrop’s are. To be clear, I’m not implying any deception on the part of Canavys, simply making a distinction so that the user understands why the Waterdrop filters are more expensive than third-party suppliers. Third-party sellers aren’t bearing the considerable expense of the NSF/ANSI certifications.

I received the filters they work perfect like always however I contacted the seller to tell them I did not receive the replacement lights and basically they told me they were sorry to hear that and no other response . I paid for the filters and the center lights I have no idea when I'm supposed to change the filter next because usually it will light up and tell you I would appreciate it if they would send the lights and I did ask them to and they're not going to
