A really a good grip. Will mar parts though. I replaced the 8mm cap screws with furniture levelers. Now i still have the same grip without galling up my precision parts. Some what susceptible to dirt contamination on the stroke shaft. The levelers I used are B01EV257ZK

The 8-1.25 mm thread. I cannot fine the rubber tips parts for them and Amazon does not hat the metric threaded 8-1.25 rubber clamping tips. I will have to return them for a refund> This is my problem and not that Amazon did anything wrong, I ordered the wrong parts.

These clamps work the way that they are designed to work. Be aware that they are really small.
