Not close to four inch by four inch. Ended up being a quarter inch short on each side.

These are as described and arrived in good condition. I was surprised to see that they didn't have any rust on them.

A low carbon steel plate with a stud on it for embedding in concrete. No added finish, just a deburring etc. Properly weldable. I did not end up using them for posts but rather the other way around; I drilled corner holes and mounted it with the stud upward for a project. The bending resistance of the stud appears to be what you would expect from hot roll rod.
