These are kind of tricky and have some quirks so I definitely recommend thinking about them before investing in them. Personally, I like them well enough, but I wouldn't use them if I wasn't really invested in keeping a pair of jeans that I otherwise couldn't wear because I've lost weight.First: The pinback part that the pins insert into are kind of tricky, so play around with them a bit before putting them into your waistband. To attach the hooks to the fabric, you need to push a pin through the hole in the hook and fasten it on the other side with the pinback. If you need to remove these and place them elsewhere, you'll have to fiddle with the pinback, and that can be difficult. When you fasten the pin into the pinback, there's a snap, and that locks the pieces into place. There's a flat end on the pinback that should lift up and release the pieces, but on some of these pinbacks the flat bit doesn't want to come up easily. Practice a little so you can get a feel for how they work. Using a fingernail should probably work but some of these were tough to lift so I had to get a butter knife to pry the flat bit up to get the piece to release.Second: Some fabric may be so thick that it doesn't allow the two pieces to fully snap together. Make sure you hear a solid snap when you press them together into your waistband and then test them to make sure they are holding. I've lost one of the pins because they came loose during the day, and I'm lucky I didn't get poked or scratched.I also found it much easier to fold the fabric the way I wanted it (I was able to fold about 1 or 1 1/4 inch together) and place the hooks on the fabric with them already hooked together, and then put the pin and pinbacks through the holes, securing everything in place. I then leave the hooks hooked at all times, even when washing.Finally: I DEFINITELY recommend washing anything that uses these adjusters in a laundry bag because sometimes the pins and pinbacks come undone and you don't want them floating around in your laundry and poking holes in things.Personally I haven't had any problem with the adjusters being uncomfortable next to my skin or catching on other fabric, but they could.These really work best on something that you're going to wear a shirt over, I think if you tucked a shirt in you'd be risking the adjusters rubbing holes into the fabric of your shirt at the waistband.

This is a great option to make the pants snatch my waist instead of restitching fabric. Easy to remove if you want to change the length but stay on easily. Very durable.

I think these are an awesome product and I love using them. They can be tricky to work at first, but once you get the hang of them they are great. They leave little damage on your pants. One thing I will say is they can dig into your side sometimes and you need to wear a belt to hide them.

I opened the first pin and attached the top of the bar to my pants. After that, I couldn't open the next several pins. But I only needed 4 so I persevered and got another one open and finished applying the first piece of hardware to my pants. After that, no more would open. I tried twisting and pulling and wiggling. Then I gave up and tried to remove the 2 pins I had, unfortunately, managed to apply. I couldn't get them open...not even with pliers or a claw hammer to pry with. Ultimately, I had to cut them off with wire cutters...and found a hole torn in my pants from the struggle. I threw them all away. Useless garbage!

One of my classmates recommended these to me and I wish I knew about them earlier . It is a bit tricky to pin them into your pants, but once doing so, it really made a difference. I keep the pins in 24/7, meaning I keep them in when I wash them. I do not notice the pins when wearing them which is the best since I was most nervous about how comfortable they would be. Great quality for the price and also, I love that these mesh into your pants, they aren't too noticeable, but I've used them for darker pairs or black jeans/pants.

I'm a size 16, 220lb gal with an apple shaped. I carry a lot of extra weight on my mid-section. It's hard to find pants that fit. If you hate the bulkiness of belts like me, you might try these. They were easy to "install" and you can leave them on in the washer and dryer! I never tuck my shirts in, so I'm able to hide the extra buttons and bunches up fabric easily. I buy pretty inexpensive jeans, so I'm not too worried about damaging the fabric, but if that is a concern, then you should know,these will leave a visible hole where you poke the metal spike though. Again, not an issue for me. They stay in really well and for me it's way more comfortable than a belt. I like that they come in different colors too.

I've recently lost ~20lbs and have a bit more to go. In an attempt to avoid buying jeans that will be too big again in a few weeks/months, I decided to try these. I'm pleasantly surprised. They are easy to put on, but i haven't had issues with them coming apart. They're not super noticeable. They are a little bulky on the inside and can rub a bit, but nothing terrible. Overall, I'm pretty happy.
