Got sick and tired of cheap plastic toasters and finally decided to spend on a good one. The red color caught my eye and I'm glad it did. Sturdy metal (no more melted plastic), amazingly complete and easy to use controls, a great retro-Steampunk look and it toasts perfectly. Four slots, bagel setting, instructions big enough to read (a rarity these days), and fun to look at. Well worth the price.

Nice Toaster, especially for a single person (4 slots). I compared it to about 10 others and frankly, this is the best-looking one and gives me the most joy to look at. I give it 5 stars. It's actually a little larger than I visualized, but is roughly 12.5" in width and a little less in depth. I did decide to "hack" it by taking a white paint pen to highlight the small black raised markers on the two dials as they are difficult to see unless you have a lot of light. Alternatively, you could use nail polish or light-colored tape triangles, etc. I use white and black paint markers to label cans and pantry items. I'm enjoying this toaster.

I've had more than a few toasters over the years. The quality in general seems to slip a little more with each passing year. Plus the majority of them can't seem to do the one thing they are designed to do which is toast the bread evenly on both sides. I sent back a Kitchen Aid toaster before this one because it couldn't get that job done right. This is a simple toaster but it does the job and does it right. Both sides come out very close in color, it looks great (I like the retro look and bright red color), and after having it a few months I haven't had any issues. This was also priced more reasonably than several competitors we considered. The only complaint I have is the shade adjustment knob needs the pointer on the dial to be accented. The dial is black and the pointer is black so it is hard to see what number it is pointing to.

There are some little quirks with this toaster; the knobs have a light, cheaper feel, the selection options are only available once you've pushed the lever down and dropped the bread, and it's a bit bulky back-to-front. Still, it toasts well, it's reasonably good looking, and it's a decent price for what it is.

My last toaster lasted almost a decade -- I paid 20 bucks for it. This time, I wanted one that worked properly (the old one did the job, but barely), so I upped my toaster budget and picked up this little beast.But not before discovering that almost every toaster made is of cheap quality, works poorly, and dies quickly -- except for this one. And I mean that literally. No other toaster escaped "this thing sucks" reviews.It arrived quickly, matched my expectations for its looks, and, so far, is working wonderfully. The bagel button is a true function instead of a minor timing tweak -- only the two outside sets of filaments engage in bagle mode, which is a nice feature.Even better, my toast comes out evenly toasted and is always the shade I prefer (I got there on the first try, too!).I hope to be enjoying this toaster for years to come.
