I bought this from another supplier but it's the same manufacturer. The first thing I did was to pull of the side cover. I like to know what I'm dealing with. Glad I did as there's no lube supplied. I filled it with 90W. Construction is simple bevel gears not as strong as hypoids but seem to be up to the task. The bearings are tapered rollers which can take a considerable load. I constructed a field mower for my tractor. It runs off the PTO at about 1000rpm. I've had it screaming away for an hour or so and even killed the engine when I hit a stump. The unit got warm but not to where I felt that things were going to burn up. It says it's good for 40 hp. My tractor's only 13 but I have no doubt that it would handle more. Very pleased with the unit.
