OMG, what I horror of manufacturing. And I bought 2 of those things!!The bearings where damage because how they were fitted on the shaft, the shaft was machined under sized and to fix that they have welded 3 lines on the shaft and then pressed the bearing on the shaft and of course the bearing was not round any more. After pressing the bearing of it was almost Ok but I will buy new and make new shaft. Talking about the shaft I wonder what tool they use to make the threads and the inside hexagon!!The bearing seat on outer aluminum shell was to big about 0.05mm until the last 2mm then it was Ok fitted.I am going to fix this, to see if this works at all.The one star is for packing it was well done

This generator has is one bering one front and no second bering on the back. Front is single bering and it has play as it rotate . It will not work for long . In the back, where is rear bering should be installed it just a hole in, so you can see inside of generator.Going to return this one.

I bought this to build a micro hydro generator to put in the river next to my cabin.I spent hundreds of dollars, in addition to the cost of this worthless alternator, building a floating water wheel with a gear multiplier so I get about 400-450 rpms and all I am getting at the charge controller is 1-3 watts. After seeing the reviews written after I purchased, I could have saved a lot of money and purchased elsewhere. One Bearing and low output wattage seems to be a common theme. I'll have to take it apart and see if there is anything to be done about alignment of the magnets. Do not buy this product or anything from this vendor!!

The performance of this product is well below 400w for a 12v system. Max wattage measured was less than 100w. After inspection it was found that the windings are not copper and appears to be aluminum with a copper colored coating. The overall weight of the generator is 5.2lbs which is much lower than the 8.6lbs stated by the seller. Please don’t let the seller get away with misrepresenting there product.
