Bought this jointer for a benchtop tool. It is heavy enough to sit on a bench and not move, even with a heavy board, much to my surprise. I will bolt it down soon. The noise level is quite low for a jointer, in my experience. The cutters leave a completely smooth surface with no tearout. I thought I was missing a part, but wasn't, and Cutech service was great and clarified. If I was going to buy it again, I would spend a few more bucks and buy the cast iron fence. The aluminum one that comes on the cheaper model is okay, but could wear with heavy use, in my opinion. This is an exceptional value in a jointer for a small shop, highly recommended.

I fully expected to have to do some setup on my Cutech 40180HB Jointer but it was really easy setting up the fence, I also expected to have to adjust/square the fence but it was dead on out of the box. The directions talked about a fence enhancement bracket system. I contacted customer support about it missing from my shipment, they told me bracket was optional for my jointer, but they offered to send me one anyway. Great customer support/service. I will certainly look to Cutech for my next power tool purchase. To make things even better the jointer operates smoothly and is far quieter than I expected while creating extremely smooth and square edges. On a side note, it is extremely rare for me to give a five star review for anything.

So yeah after my porter cable stopped working (that is still a mystery) i needed to get a new one and Black Friday seemed to be the day. So i wanted to put it out there so that if anyone had any set up or usage pointers they id love and appreciate them. Thsnks

This has been a great addition to the shop and awesome first jointer. The helical head cuts super clean and is surprisingly quiet (compared to my bladed planer). For the money, not a single complaint, does exactly what I need it to. I have ran ~100 board feet of walnut through it and have had no issues.

Love the small foot print of this tool. It’s very effective at making warped boards flat. I was slightly concerned about the lack of variable speed but it seems to be set at a good speed for whatever you throw at it. So far I’ve ran red oak, poplar, maple, walnut and cherry and had no problems. Highly recommend to someone looking for a jointer in this price range.

The drawings are useless but easy to assemble. Leaves a good finish even on rough wood. Easy to adjust.
