Rather than pay a dude 400 dollars to replace a 15 dollar part for me, I went online, looked up instructions for fixing my A/C, got a multi-meter that does capacitance (which is good to have for many reasons) and fixed my own. This one is 1 of 3 I ordered and the first one I tried. It worked without fuss and I appreciate the ability to buy my own. However Amazon also charges slightly more than everybody else, cuz they cornered the market by bribing congress, so I recommend you check locally and spent a little money on gasoline instead of shipping and the Amazon Premium added fee.

Took no time at all after turning off the breaker to remove the burned out one and replace with the new one, turned the power back on and and it work as it should. Back up and running with no issue. Thanks

I was troubleshooting why my hot tub kept tripping the breaker. I bought this capacitor that was almost identical to my old one, at a reasonable price. I switched it and it works great! It's been almost a couple months and I haven't had any problems since.

I purchased one of these for my RV AC unit. The fan would not kick on without help. Installed this and the fan now Works like new again. I also purchased a second one to leave inside the RV just in case for a spare not knowing the quality of these capacitors.

If you've ever needed one then you'll understand the importance of keeping a spare on the shelf. If you are comfortable enough around big boy voltage to even know what this does then these are a life saver when your AC decides to go out, which without fail will always be on a Sunday or a holiday. My meter says this is built to spec and my compressor is a happy camper again. Anything that gets the AC back on is wife approved and these are so expensive that you'd be a fool not to order an extra as a spare.I'm sure there are probably better "quality" units out there but again for the price it's hard to argue.

Makes it work, and it does. It is an energy storage unit, that through an electrical energy boost to the output to start your AC unit.

Got home from vacation at the end of August, we were going through a heat wave (32°C+) and walked into a house that was 27°C! – the A/C had stopped working. It was after 5pm on a Friday, so a service call to an HVAC repair tech would’ve cost hundreds of dollars for an after-hours emergency call, plus parts, so instead, I hopped online for a potential solution and there were dozens of videos with exactly my problem: Trane A/C, furnace blowing, no cold air. In every video, the culprit was the capacitor on the compressor. I went out and checked the compressor and sure enough – the capacitor was bulged (I have no tools to test capacitance, so I just went with the commonly-accepted truism that a bulged capacitor is a bad capacitor). Tried a few local brick-and-mortar stores (trying to support local), and they STARTED at $230 and went up from their (and that’s IF they actually had them in stock). So tried a “Hail Mary†by going to Amazon, and I couldn't believe that they had the actual capacitor for less than $20!!! Sold. It was too late for same-day delivery, so we slept with the windows open that night, the capacitor arrived the next day, I turned off the breaker, carefully moved the wires one at-a-time so as not to accidentally cause a short, strapped it in, threw the breaker and………SUCCESS! So a repair of probably $500+ all-in by an HVAC tech, or less than $20 DIY. I’ll take DIY, please. In fact, they were so inexpensive, I then ordered a spare so I won’t be without A/C again.

Ce condensateur a remplacé le mien qui malgré le fait qu'il n'était pas de la même marque fonctionne parfaitement. La livraison fut très rapide.

The photo is not right! "Herm" need to connect to compressor, and "C" is the common connector for power line of compressor and fan!
