So...my hubby came home with a scoop full of costume jewelry a few weeks ago. I was curious if it was all costume jewelry so I purchased this little item. Yep, it was all costume jewelry.This little contraption does work. It folds up nicely so it stores into the corner of a jewelry box easily. It is definitely solid and easy to use.

I found that the magnification was very effective to see small details on coins. The light works well and the quality seems high. The case is handy too, and even comes with a cleaning cloth. Well worth the price.

The magnifier arrived yesterday and I've been using it ever since. The magnification is excellent and the optics just fine. I really like the 2-way light switch which is very useful. Click it one way and you get two natural color LEDs, flip it the other way and you get a single ultraviolet LED.The one fault I see is the design of the battery cover, which has two little round depressions used with a special tool (included) to unscrew it. Don't loose it! It would make more sense to have a long grove you could turn with a coin.

Very nice and strong eyepiece to look at tiny jewelry or numbers and names on anything else. Stronger than my previous ones and this is excellent. Also has the led light that gives off just enough to see what you need to see.

Very nice 40x magnifying loupe. Small but mighty fits in purse or pocket. Great for treasure hunting flea markets and jewelers. Comes with built in white light and black light. Very happy with purchase. Battery included.

I received the loop the other day and I noticed how bright the light was which is good, but upon opening it cut myself on the rough edges on the edges that were all around the loop, So I had to file them down. Also the Optics were a little Funky, all around the edge it is distorted but is workable. I would not buy this one again though.

I bought this magnifier to use with wildflowers and tree ID. My smaller and lighter loop was not letting me see that I wanted to. This magnifier is larger and heavier than my old one but gives me a lot more clarity in viewing small lenticels on twigs or counting minute petals. Plus the LED light is great in low light.

The tools itself is amazing. The normal light is very bright and it is also very easy to change between off, normal light, and UV light. The UV light works great for identifying real and fake money bills. The whole tool is made from solid metal and has a very robust and strong build. The smooth metal makes it easy to hold and put up to your eye. Once place inside the case, it becomes very easy to carry around and place in your pocket or bag with absolutely no worries about it breaking. The last photo included is a nice close up of my very small silver bar.
