I bought this thinking "well... this is going to be a joke... for this much money I should just get a bunch of sandpaper and do what I need by hand. Boy was I wrong!! This thing is GREAT! It doesn't take up much room but at the same time it sands just about anything you can throw at it and does it well. If you're looking for an inexpensive sander, you should get one of these. PS... if you do it right, you can bolt is to your workbench so that it turns under tension thereby giving you access to all sides easily. Kind of like a turntable type effect.

Love this sander , i use it to resharpen wood chipper blades , it does a good job grinding the blades as they are made of tool steel ! I highly recommend this machine !

This sander combo is a decent value for hobbyists, but that's about it. That is, it's not terrible, but it's not great.Squaring the platforms/guides is technically possible, but it's not easy and doesn't last. The platforms are not strong and flex easily under pressure, so be extra careful if you need to maintain a precise angle.The miter gauge for the disc sander is garbage. It's plastic and too small for the slot. If you intend to use it, don't. Buy a better gauge.The dust ports work well and it's nice that there are two, but they're not a common size for connecting to shop vacuums. They're both roughly 35mm or 1 3/8" (outer diameter), which doesn't seem to be a common size outside of household vacuums. Most shop vacs use 2 1/2" diameter hoses, so you'll need an adapter like the VAC020 or similar.Conclusion: Decent value for hobbyists who aren't worried about precision. Don't expect high quality anything for this price. I love the color, though.
