Getting to see what's happening in your hoses when you flush out tanks is super-important, and see-through adapters like this are a great, easy way to do it. The fittings latch on perfectly, neither too hard nor too easy to turn, and there's zero leakage. It's not quite as transparent as some other products, but that can be an advantage, sometimes it's good to not have too much detail, you just want the basic idea of what's coming through. The angle is perfect for many situations--yes, sometimes it's more convenient and efficient to have something come straight out, but I usually find my two tank outlets positioned relative to the sewer inlet in a way that calls for a bend. The material is medium-weight--I'd prefer something a little heavier-duty, but this seems good enough, and the gaskets work well.

TheFatRancher only reviews items he actually uses!If you have spent any time RVing, you know one of the most onerous tasks is emptying the holding tanks. Usually, this odious task comes off without a hitch. But, the sad truth is that gate valves weep. And popping off the cap and getting an unpleasant surprise can happen. For this reason, one of the first accessories The Fat Rancher equips a new RV with is the clear sewer coupler. This way, you can see what to expect when that sanitary cap comes off. Plus, let's face it: There is a somewhat therapeutic effect with watching all that nastiness disappear down the tube, only to be washed with the follow up grey water. The Aussio "45° Clearview RV Sewer Hose Adapter with 3" Bay Lug - Durable, Leak-Proof Connection" does this trick nicely. With standard bayonet lugs on both ends, installation between the outlet and the sanitary cap is a snap. Now, I'm not sure why the manufacturer includes a roll of Teflon tape in the bag. Typically, Teflon tape is used for pipe fittings. Not gasketed bayonet lugs. But, who cares? The Fat Rancher has a whole collection of these "accessory rolls" and hasn't had to buy Teflon tape in years. In my book this is a must-have RV accessory and the Aussio product works exactly as advertised.

This is a review for “45° Clearview RV Sewer Hose Adapter with 3" Bay Lug - Durable, Leak-Proof Connectionâ€A very simple accessory that I thought would be handy to have around in case I need a connection somewhere between a straight thru and a full right angle. The plastic seems to be consistent with other such adapters that I have. I did check and it mates fine with both genders of the sewage connectors that I have, pulling the seal tight in each case.Clear is another benefit, in case I just want to have visibility to the stuff passing through. I have a clear, right angle connector to interface between the standard sewage connections and a few common thread types for the in-ground dump station receptacles, but that is on the other end, so this could potentially be placed a the RV end if I wanted to see also what is entering the hoses.Overall, should be a useful item to have around, for special cases.

The Aussio 90° clearview RV sewer hose adapter works great. I use this with a Y adapter as I have two drain points on my RV. The 90° bend is perfect for me to line up the two different drain hoses. This is a well built adapter that works well as designed.
