Ombines two capacitors into one unit. Three terminals on the top are labeled "Herm"/"H" for the compressor motor, "Fan"/"F" for the fan, and "C" for the common line.It will power a compressor motor and a fan motor

This capacitor is used for start-up and operation of AC motors with frequency of 50Hz/60Hz such as Industrial Grade Replacement for Central Air-Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Condenser Fan Motors, and Compressors.It is small in size, lightweight, heat resisting and anti-explosion. Round capacitor can be used to substitute oval shape one with the same MFD AND Volt specs.A 440 volt capacitor can be used in place of a 370 volt, as it is build better, but the 370 can’t be used in place of a 440 volt.

Fast delivery, exactly as described and in perfect working condition.Marks on the top where connections are situated show inscription which power cable should go where, advised is to take a picture of the connections before you take the old capacitor out for verification in case you need it. always good for documentation is to take before and after pictures and document the changes for future reference.

For the price, I bought 2 and keep a spare on hand. When your AC quits these are often the problem. A 1/2 hour fix is better than waiting for the part for 3 days in the hot summer.

A few days ago I noticed that our home AC was blowing warm air. Hey, just in time for the latest heat wave! What were the odds? Since I know next to nothing about HVAC I decided to do the prudent thing and get a HVAC technician to come and see what was wrong. Most of the places I called managed not to laugh at me over the phone and quoted me appointments a week or more in the future. And most wanted $185+ just to come to your front door. Knowing that a week without AC would probably be unpopular with my family and might hurt my chances for reelection in November, I turned to the Internet and started researching.Now, our compressor unit in the back yard had a stopped fan and was emitting a buzzing sound. That sounded bad. A helpful online video suggested reaching into the unit with a stick and gently pushing the fan counter-clockwise. Hey - poking things with sticks is something I'm good at! So I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and tried it. The fan immediately roared into action! This, the video said suggested a bad start-up capacitor.At first I thought that I could do a lot of stick-poking as a temporary work-around until I could get a new capacitor. Not so fast, Sparky! , I learned that the reason the unit was still blowing warm air was because the capacitor started TWO things - the fan AND the compressor. And the compressor had nothing to poke at with a stick. So sitting outside by the unit in a lawn chair with chopsticks was not going to work.For mysterious reasons you can't buy HVAC supplies without a contractors license so I was reduced to getting this replacement capacitor. It arrived in 24 hours, installation was a snap and lo and behold fixed the issue! There was much rejoicing in the land and my Man Card got renewed for another month.Warning: Don't try this at home unless you know the basics of turning off the power to your AC unit. Even if you do that the capacitor can still carry a strong charge even with the power off. So be careful out there!For me, this learning adventure was worth it. It allowed me to avoid dealing with haughty HVAC shops and restore our AC in 24 hours without spending hundreds of dollars.

Purchased this as a back up looks to be good quality label correctly wasn’t the cheapest but they offered a discount. So can’t give it 5 star just because I haven’t used it.

This is the first time I’ve changed the capacitor myself. After watching some YouTube videos I decided I wasn’t paying the HVAC person $620 to do this. I ordered this unit as it matched the specifications of the existing one. The new one was quite a bit smaller in diameter than the old one, not sure why or if that makes a difference. After matching all the wires up and tucking everything back in place I started my unit up and all seems to be working well. Now I don’t have the right equipment to test the new unit so I’m going by faith it was within the listed specs. So I guess when I get my seasonal check up I’ll know better. Saved me a bunch of $$$
