I used these on a toy hammer I 3D printed for my grandson. With careful planning you can use these to screw parts together just by using a soldering iron to bury them in the plastic and they hold really well.

Like many, i came to the conclusion that " yea, next time im going to use inserts". You know you should, so do it sooner than later, that way you can say "i should have done this a long time ago"!As always, i use my own hard earned money to purchase the things i review on Amazon.

This kit of threaded inserts has been really solid so far. With 460 pieces in various metric sizes, it covers pretty much everything you’d need for a wide range of projects. The inserts feel well-made, and I haven’t found any defects yet. The threads are clean, and all the sizes are accurate, so no issues there.I’ve used a few of them in my 3D prints, and they’ve worked great. The kit is handy to have around and should last a long time given the quantity and quality of the inserts.If you do any kind of work that involves threading, this kit is a solid investment. It’s well-organized, durable, and perfect for adding threaded connections to your projects.

I do quite a bit of prototyping CAD work that requires 3D printers as a tool. These have been pretty good so far and easy to set with the directional thin entry end to help guide the heated iron into the hole. They've been great for holding small M4 allen cap screws for attaching accessories to some of our in-studio equipment on measuring devices. Good threading and there aren't easy to pull if heat inserted properly with ABS and ASA parts. Solid choice and will be looking into a few more sizes. Good value/ cost option with these.
