I recently purchased an older 100mm macro lens but the lens only photographs at a 1:2 ratio. I experimented with a couple of these filters and figured the +4 would give me the 1:1 I was after. I am very happy with the results so far.

Nowadays its hard to find great quality products for a low or even reasonable price, but wow it was a pleasant surprise ! Such great quality and presentation! And the case is definitely a bonus! I really appreciate this business selling high quality products that's affordable,its nice when your not over charged and taken advantage of. Great investment; extremely happy with them.Love the fact that I can change from normal photos to close ups and back again for “Photo-Op’sâ€.You can’t do this with the expensive dedicated “Macro†lens.You can hand hold using the +10 which I like.You can stack (combo) them for extreme close ups just make sure you start with the smallest first i.e (+1, +2, +4, +10) don’t reverse the line up.I stack the +1 and 2 together for general close up work and stack +4 and 10 together for extreme close up using a tripod; you can hand hold if you steady yourself which I prefer to do (tripods are a pain in the @ to set up and use).My suggestion is to shoot test shots and find out what suites your taste.I highly recommend adding a set to your gear (don’t loose a great Photo-Op by not havering the ability to do close ups).Using these has forced me to think in terms of “It’s a Small World†and look for/create those “Op’sâ€.Get them, play with them; learn how they work and what your style is.“Get out there and (Photo-Op).

I bought these close up filters for use on my Lensbaby sweet 22 special effects lens. The close up filters allow my to get closer my subjects while still maintaining the effect of the lens. East screw on off the front of the lens.

Easy to get chromatic aberration when using outside. Not bad when you can control the lighting.

I had a set of closeup rings years ago before I obtained true macro lenses. I lent them to a friend who never returned them. Currently I use a Raynox 250 which works fine for extreme closeups but wanted something for those in between macro shots that fits in a pocket and doesn't break the bank. I ordered the ultimaxx 4 filter set because they were priced very reasonable and I needed a few more dollars to get free shipping on my order. I have tried all 4 Diopter filters on the camera and I can't come up with any serious negative.The 10 Diopter is soft on the edges as expected for that magnification ring. I am very surprised at the sharpness and quality of build . The rings are all metal and the threads are perfect which is a major plus.If you understand that close up rings are not high priced macro lenses, you wont be disapointed with these.

Wanted to have a cheaper macro lens to practice with and am very happy with these so far. They didn't work with autofocus like some reviews said but I prefer manual focus with macro shots anyways so it wasn't an issue for me. Might not work as well as higher end lenses but, for the price, these are awesome

They are what they say they are. Nice cheap Macro lens pretty much.good price. Use manual focus for better results but they're good. I needed them for a specific shot and they will work just fine

Completely changes the lens to something very close up, I do not see a difference in image quality at all!
