I bought the 8 inch skewers for our cookout to make eating a little easier (without needing extra utensils). They worked really well and were very sturdy and easy to eat with. The color is identical to the photos, a light wooden tone that complemented the food nicely. They're pretty versatile so we also used them for fruit skewers - they were strong enough to hold pineapple, blueberries, strawberries and grapes. A note for grilling, be sure to soak the skewers in water for AT LEAST 30-45 minutes to prevent them from charring or breaking at high temps.

I love these picks. They are great for small appetizers and as skewers for small bites. Because of the flat end they are nice to stack on a plate or in a shallow bowl for serving and they don’t roll around. The pick portion is smooth and no worry about splinters. Not too thick so things like cheery tomatoes and soft cheese cubes or balls; fruit balls or cubes all work well.
