Heavy duty, solid wheel. I use it on a bauer surfacing tool (**must remove guard for it to fit, do not try at home...)

Works good so far I used it to remove rust from my flatbed seems like it should last a while, it does ok on the rust it doesn't get it perfectly clean but it does remove enough and it's a lot faster than a knotted wire wheel on a grinder just not as effective but it's close enough

Works great but very heavy - when working down helps stick to the surface…

This was used on a oak wood floor. It was carpeted by the previous owner. The carpet was a foam back type and was glued down. This brush was used to strip off the foam & glue before sanding. If you tried to sand before striping the sand paper would have gummed up ruining it. I don't know if this is truly stainless or standard carbon steel.

Did not meet my expectations. The bristles wore down quickly, and it didn’t perform well for surface conditioning tasks. For the price, I expected a more durable and effective tool.I wouldn’t recommend this product unless you need it for very light work.

I can always use tools that assist in cleaning materials that have unwanted contamination and I think this wire wheel/drum could be extremely handy for removing rust paint and doing similar operations. But make sure the surface finisher machine you intend to use with this wheel has the needed clearance so the wires can’t rub the machine parts. Before placing the order for this wheel I read the existing reviews and at least one other reviewer claimed that his Harbor Freight Bauer Surface Finisher could handle this item. The Bauer is rated nominally for a four inch wheel but this particular wheel is a little bigger than four and one half inches (I haven’t measured it - only trusted the description offered by the seller). Well, it’s close but a little too close. The tool *can* spin the wheel but there’s too much interference between the wire bristles and the steel guard and the motor has to work too hard. I think I could smell something burning when the motor ran. So maybe this wire drum is a good one to have but until I figure out a way to shorten the wire bristles a little I’m not able to spin it with my Bauer surface finisher tool.
