The machining on these couplings is quite good. The spiral machined into the middle, which provides flex and stress relief, is a a clever design.

Nice concentric item. Definitely works as intended. Used to couple stepper motor to shaft.

Local to me is the company that designed and patented these. There were a few of these in the space shuttles, some are in the Hubble. If it's good enough for that, it is going to be great in your 3D printer!
