I had to modify the coil spring to work but these put new life into my vinyl windows. Windows work better than before.

Fits my steel windows from 1960s.Only issue is central blue plastic fitting does not rotate easily making it hard to put window back in frame.

Most of my 25 years windows would not stay open due to damaged sliders . I could not find these parts in my local stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s . These were a great price and they arrived fast . All my windows work and slide perfectly now after installing the new sliders . I should say that it did take a long time to install them for my windows . I had to cut the top track to remove the old ones and insert the new ones . It was also a bit tricky getting the tension on spring rods again and aligning the windows . I ended up buying 8 of these . Two per window . It took a few days . But saved me a ton money doing it myself . Included in this time I replaced the glass windows too that leaked gas and fogged up . I replaced three pieces of glass that I got from a local glass company .

There is a detachable plastic part on the back that prevents the shoe from turning easily, however after removing it the shoe seems to work fine. Not sure if this is the correct installation as there were no instructions included

Works okay for now. Longevity will determine my rating in the future.

These parts fit perfectly, but after fighting to get the window back into the frame, I changed the process and removed the locking blocks. That way, its easy to tip the window sideways to hook in one side and then the other. In my case, the locking blocks are completely unnecessary. The work is a pain, but after doing a couple of windows, I goth the procedure down to about 20 minutes each. My 30 year old windows are sliding great again. I'm hoping these parts will stand up for years to come.
