I replaced the old springs with these new ones and they worked yet still squeeked some, so I sprayed wd40 in the upper and lower mounting sockets and that stopped it, and it works quietly now.

Purchased these back in July. Worked great in the beginning. Then after a month, the drum started banging around again. Opened the lid, pushed down on the agitator and the drum was bouncing around like it was on a trampoline. Poor quality springs.

If you can't afford the new, original Amana-manufactured parts, I'd still recommend saving up for the originals. My husband installed this kit, but we soon learned that this kit wasn't going to work, too 'loose' and our machine began making the same noise during the spin cycle that the parts weren't heavy duty or already not managing the load. We bought factory direct parts and our machine is working well and as quietly as when we first purchased it. This kit is a temporary fix if you're doing small loads as indicated on the machine's lid, if that.

I know it's more expensive to buy from the manufacturer, but this one only lasted a week and I had to buy from the manufacturer. Follow my advise and buy directly from the manufacturer. You'll save money.

The rods are not as stick as original, and the machine still vibrates a little bit springs are weaker
