Easy to assemble. Solid build with a classy look. File holder on top are the perfect size for tabbed office file folders, the horizontal spaces are the perfect size for the tabbed office file folders laying down. The drawer space is nice for sticky notes, business cards, pens/pencils, or other small office supplies. The drawer may also be left out for another laying file/paper space. The metal mesh back keeps items from sliding/falling out the back which is very nice. I'm very happy with this item.

I am using this in our home office/school room. The vertical portion has 4 dividers, which allows even soft-sided books to remain standing when others are removed. The horizontal sections are great for our two types of paper (scratch paper and activity sheets), the 3-section drawer holds nearly all of my miscellaneous office supplies (tape, glue, stapler/extra staples, brads, hole punch, paint marker, etc.), and the side compartments are great for pens, pencils, highlighters, scissors, and even crochet hooks.I'm not typically a fan of metal mesh, but the overall look of this unit is such that I haven't really thought much about it since it's been in use, especially since the wood vertical supports are the most evident part once assembled and filled. I am very happy with this purchase.

So I was really skeptical at first, putting it together. It wobbled like crazy, and I put a couple shelves in backwards. Once I did get it together, and tightened it down though, I ended up being less worried. It became quite sturdy.I've used it for over am onth now, and nothing's wearing out, it works well, and I'm holding all sorts of things in it. So I reallt like it.I do have 1 major complaint that takes away a star: The magazine rack top needs a back. The first thing I did was put bubble mailers in the top, and they flew through the back and off the desk. I had to pull out ribbon and weave it through to make a back for the magazine rack. Now it works great, but having to modify it makes me take away a star.

The wood is good quality, the holes were where they were supposed to be, and the instructions were fairly easy to follow. The metal mesh, however, arrived already slightly bent and when I tried to gently bend it back the other way to straighten it, a part of the back snapped on one of the shelves. the second shelf was also bent, but out of fear that would break too, I decided against trying to bend it. I ended up having to put very small zip ties from two spots on each of the backs of the shelves to the perpendicular back piece. That was quite tricky and frustrating. Also, some of the screws didn't tighten all the way into the holes, both on the sides and the back. The top organizer pieces went on easily, so that was nice. The bottom drawer also sticks out by about a 1/2", but that's not a big deal. I also like the ability to put the hanging cups either 1 on each side or both on one side. I need something for my desk immediately so I don't want to return this, but I wouldn't buy this again.
