I just use this for hanging deer and hogs. Plenty strong enough for that.

I bought this blue 4-ton swing-side snatch block to replace my orange 1/2†drop-side snatch block after my new 50’ Polyolefin log skidding line somehow got snagged and snapped in the middle, while running across the edge of the hinged side plate at the top of the sheave. I like the one-piece design of the blue swing-side plate, but I'm going to put a full radius on the inside edges of both side plates above the sheave to eliminate any chance of chafing the line running through the block. I like the wide deep sheave groove that will accommodate a 3/4†line and hopefully the bulge after I short splice the two halves of my broken 5/8†x 50’ log skidding line back together. The size and weight of the red snap hook is overkill, making it harder to hang the block high up in a back-leaning tree to pull it over after undercutting the base.

This is a well built, and heavy duty. The swivel works smoothly great. I like it a lot. I would highly recommended it.
