Was getting an intermittent service 4x4 on the dash and figured this would be a cheap option after checking the grounds. Turned out to be correct and I've had to use it a few times on the property tugging cars around without issue. Lights up whiter than the rest of the dash but I don't mind it at all.

I ordered the wrong part initially and Nica at customer service was great in helping me return, reorder and receive the correct switch. They also provided a link to get the repair manual work sheets on how to correctly install the switch. Everything went great, a fifteen minute job that saved me $100's. My info screen kept saying service 4x4. I noticed a light out on my switch. I researched and found the switch is a common failure. I ordered this new switch from Amazon and it was a simple plug and play oem replacement. The day after I received it my old one really acted up. I started my truck and all the lights flashed for about 5 seconds and then for no apparent reason showed 4Lo. I went to drive and could tell it wasn't locked in but the computer thought it was and shifted the transmission real fast going know where. I stopped and restated. This time it locked in 4 Lo! I pushed the 2HI button but it wouldn't change. I was there. Luckily I had this new switch in the truck along with a few tools. I was able to pop the dash remove the old and replace it with this one within 20 minutes. Purchasing this switch from Amazon and having it with me saved me a tow and a lot of money. It has worked flawlessly for 3 months now!

Received unit as excepted in 2 days. after replacing the OEM unit, tested out. All switches worked as they should. Back to 2hi. in just over a week, I noticed that it went to 4 Auto. Nope, it is summer! need 2 hi. about a week later stopped working. When starting Yukon XL, All the lights do turn on, as they should, but after self diagnostics, all lights go out! Now, No clue as to what gear the Transfer case is in! Not kool! I Have put the old not working right switches back in for now. Hope they Honor their "Lifetime Warranty" ......

The switch on my '06 Sileverado failed and I got this one because the dealers wanted more for a switch than the would probably offer me on a trade in for the truck.Easy to install, and works very well. Been using it for 2 years now so I am sure it reliable too.
